Three UK’s mobile network is down, affecting thousands of users as well as the customer service department.
It couldn’t have come at a worse time with the biggest sporting event of the year being streamed in households and on devices across the world.
Three has posted on social media about the outages. The company said on x.
During the morning hours, some customers may experience problems with our network. Our engineers are working to fix it.
Please check back for the latest updates. This issue also impacts customer service.

The cell provider has a network service checkerThis post apologizes for the sudden stoppage of services and the inability of checking the current status.
The post stated that “some customers may be experiencing issues with our network this morning. Our engineering teams are working hard to fix it. This issue is impacting our customer service channels and network status checker, so please check our social feeds for the latest updates.”

Three would then post on X, yesterday, that the problem had been resolved early in the day.

However, the problems persist and sites such as network outage reporter Down Detector continue to exist. Recorded AudioOver 12,850 outages in the last 24 hours.
The site states that 36% of mobile internet users are experiencing problems, 33% have no signal, and 30% experience a complete blackout.
Smarty, a UK operator of mobile phones and a user of Three’s network, was forced to apologize to X customers this morning.

Early December we reportedThe Three network has been down for over 20,000 users.
It remains to be determined if this issue has anything to do with the merger between Vodaphone and T-Mobile. The announcement was made in the middle of last year.
The press release on merger stated that “from day one, millions of customers of Vodafone UK and Three UK will enjoy a better network experience with greater coverage and reliability at no extra cost, including through certain flexible, contract-free offers with no annual price increases, and social tariffs.”
