The Walt Disney Company recently parted with its first version of the Mickey Mouse. Three NFT collections based on the rodent-themed character have appeared on OpenSea following the copyright expiration. They are among the top trending collections of the NFT marketplace.

Walt Disney and Ub iwerks introduced Mickey Mouse in 1928’s short film Steamboat Willie. Mickey Mouse’s earliest form did not have white shoes or oversized gloves. Following its debut, the Mickey Mouse character has played a crucial role in the Walt Disney Company’s brand and pop culture, becoming a mascot.

The collection also has a price floor of 0.204 ETH. The third collection of the trending projects includes Steamboat Willie’s Riverboat, with a trading volume and a floor price both of 17 ETH.
